Halalan 2010 Funny Bloopers

While the election was still ongoing, some election-related stories being aired have captured my interest, not because the scenes portrayed serious wrongdoings made by local candidates and their ally parties, but because these stories were really too comically unbelievable to happen during elections.

1. The report of a fly voter-wannabee who almost looked like his brother, but upon entry into the polling precinct was asked of his name and suddenly spilled his real name, and not his brother's. I guess he forgot to fly past his stupidity. Make sure your wings are still on, super juan.

2. The story of an ingenious BEI who made use of an umbrella and a ball pen to repair the PCOS machine. Hey man, don't forget that those are still on loan, and destroying one will oblige the country to pay for the whole.

3. The forever-present culture of vote buying enveloping different precincts. It seems like Christmas has been celebrated earlier than expected.

4. One network's first release of vote breakdown which almost left everyone laughing and praising when Senator Noynoy Aquino got 0%, and we assumed that it was only Noynoy who got that percentage. A few minutes after, images of presidential candidates showed up, and percentages appeared. Everyone had 0% votes. Lol.

5. The mismatched delivery of the ballots in some places which alerted LBC. Just kidding.

6. The FAIL hologram attempt of GMA-7 just to compete with its rival network, ABS-CBN. Lol, why distort your newscasters' bodies? Peace.

7. The overexposure of Noynoy's precinct which attracted criticisms and presented different "seemingly-like" winning poses of the crowd's favorite. I just laughed at how photographers cast their cams' flashes on him, and how one video footage zoomed in on Noynoy, almost revealing whose circles he shaded. There were reporter chikka moments when Noynoy arrived at Tarlac. It took a lot of time just to finish publicizing what he's been doing in the precinct. Hello, there are others waiting in line.

8. One complainant's message saying that he/ she was told on the day of election to return and vote the next day, which is tomorrow. Hey, isn't today election day? What's wrong with the world?

9. Disenfranchisement which may have an effect on other candidates' total number of votes received. Do you know what the word means? This might just be the word of the day!

10. A massive dejection when a failure of elections is declared nationwide. Who wouldn't? The international community might just be secretly laughing at our predetermined fate.

11. A Boto Patroller's report stating that the the dead can still vote since they're still included in the voters' list. Meanwhile, some voters searched for their names in every precinct only to find out that they have not been officially enlisted. So fail!

12. The segment of ex-President Ramos being awaited by his fans (colleagues) after voting in his respective precinct. My friends and I laughed when we saw who his lucky fans were. Guess who?

13. The unexpected height in the unofficial partial tally of votes. Acosta, the disqualified presidential candidate, has earned more votes than Gordon and Madrigal. Fail!

14. The statement made public by Leah Salonga, expressing her relief and feelings of "like-winning-a-prize" after the PCOS machine successfully received her ballot. You're really great Ms. Leah! You deserve more than just a machine's acceptance.
